Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 16 APRIL 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of our website and to any order placed with us through our online store.

Please read them before ordering. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Who We Are

This website is operated by Nicola Lewis trading as Kirnix .

Business address: 26 Bromley Road GL2 2JB
Email: hello@kirnix.co.uk

About These Terms

These terms apply to:

  • your use of our website
  • any order placed through our website
  • any contract for the sale of goods between you and us

Our Privacy Policy, Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy, and any delivery information shown on the website also form part of the information we provide before you place an order.

Using Our Website

You must use our website lawfully and in a way that does not damage, disrupt, misuse, or interfere with the site or anyone else’s use of it.

You may not:

  • use the website for fraud or any unlawful purpose
  • introduce viruses, malware, or harmful code
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, server, or related systems
  • use our content or images without permission

We may suspend access, refuse service, or cancel an order where we reasonably believe there has been misuse, suspicious activity, payment issues, or attempted resale that falls outside normal consumer purchasing.

Products

We sell handmade items. Because of that, small variations in colour, pattern, finish, and detail can happen. That is part of the nature of handmade work and does not automatically mean an item is faulty.

We take reasonable care to describe and photograph products accurately. However, colours may look slightly different depending on your screen settings and device.

Any product description, image, size, or other pre-contract information we provide forms part of the contract with you. Your goods must still be as described, of satisfactory quality, and fit for any particular purpose you made known to us before purchase.

We may update, change, or discontinue products at any time, but this will not affect an order that we have already accepted.

Prices and Payment

All prices are shown in GBP (£).

Prices include VAT only where applicable. Delivery charges, if any, will be shown before you complete checkout.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time before an order is placed. Price changes will not affect orders already accepted.

Payment must be made in full at checkout using the payment methods offered on the website.

If there is an obvious pricing or description error, we are not obliged to supply the item at the incorrect price. If that happens after you place an order, we will contact you before dispatch to give you the option to continue or cancel.

Placing an Order and Contract Formation

The steps on our website allow you to review your basket, delivery details, and payment information before submitting your order. Please check everything carefully.

When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy from us. Your order is not accepted until we send you an order acceptance or dispatch confirmation email. An order acknowledgement email only confirms that we have received your order request.

If we cannot accept your order, we will let you know and refund any payment taken.

We may refuse or cancel an order where, for example:

  • payment is not authorised
  • stock is unavailable
  • there is a pricing or listing error
  • we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse
  • the order appears to be for resale rather than normal consumer purchase

Delivery

We will deliver your order using the delivery method selected at checkout or otherwise agreed with you.

Estimated delivery times are estimates only. We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including courier disruption, customs delays, weather, industrial action, or peak-season backlogs.

Unless we agree a different period with you, goods must be delivered within 30 days of the contract being made.

Risk in the goods remains with us until the goods come into your physical possession, or the physical possession of a person you identify to take delivery.

For international orders, you are responsible for any customs charges, import duties, taxes, or local handling fees charged in the destination country, unless we clearly state otherwise.

Your Right to Cancel an Online Order

If you are a consumer buying online, you usually have the legal right to cancel most orders for goods within 14 days of receiving them, without giving a reason.

To cancel, you must tell us within that 14-day period. Once you have told us, you then have another 14 days to send the goods back.

If you cancel within the legal cancellation period, we will refund:

  • the price paid for the goods

If you cancel an order under your legal 14-day cancellation right, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods unless the item is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or we have agreed otherwise.

We may reduce the refund if the value of the goods has been reduced by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect them.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back, or until you provide evidence that you have sent them back, whichever happens first.

This legal right to cancel does not apply to goods that are made to your specifications or are clearly personalised.

Our separate Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy may give you additional return rights beyond the legal minimum

Faulty, Damaged, or Misdescribed Goods

Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights if goods are faulty, damaged, not as described, or otherwise do not conform to the contract.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods supplied to consumers must be:

  • of satisfactory quality
  • fit for purpose
  • as described

If they are not, you may have rights to reject, repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund depending on the circumstances and timing.

If there is a problem with your order, contact us as soon as reasonably possible with your order number and clear photos where relevant.

Custom and Personalised Orders

Custom or personalised items are made to your instructions. Please check all names, wording, colours, options, and delivery details carefully before submitting your order.

You do not have the usual 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right for goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised goods, although your rights still apply if the item is faulty, damaged, or not as agreed.

We are not responsible for errors in personalisation details where the mistake came from the information you entered.

Returns and Refunds Policy

Our full Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy explains:

  • how to request a return
  • eligibility rules
  • damaged or incorrect items
  • refund timing
  • any additional goodwill returns policy we offer

If there is any conflict between these Terms & Conditions and your statutory consumer rights, your statutory rights take priority.

Intellectual Property

All website content, including product photography, graphics, branding, logos, page design, copy, and original product designs, belongs to us or is used with permission.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, republish, or use our content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

Reviews, Comments, and User Content

If you submit a review, testimonial, photo, or other content to us, you confirm that:

  • you own it or have permission to share it
  • it does not infringe anyone else’s rights
  • it is not unlawful, abusive, defamatory, misleading, or obscene

If you post a public review or send content to us for publication, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, and display that content for customer service, website, or marketing purposes.

Third-Party Links and Services

Our website may include links to third-party websites, services, social platforms, payment providers, or courier tracking pages.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, or privacy practices of third-party websites or services. Please read their own terms and policies before using them.

Website Availability

We try to keep the website accurate, available, and working properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that the website will always be free from bugs or errors.

We may suspend, withdraw, update, or change the website, or any part of it, for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons.

Our Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • breach of your statutory consumer rights
  • any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law

We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable.

We are not liable for business losses if you are buying as a consumer. This includes loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.

Privacy and Cookies

We handle personal data in line with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Please read those pages to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to the website, the business, or the law.

Any updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.

The terms that apply to your order are the version in force at the time we accept your order.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you will also keep any mandatory consumer rights that apply there, and you may be able to bring proceedings in your local courts.
